TIME FOR another SWEET TEA (or the drink of your choice!); LIBERTY/SOVEREIGNTY/TEA PARTY ACTIVISTS in US have BRUNDTLAND WORRIED!

Gro Harlem Brundtland, formerly Norwegian PM and called the “mother of sustainability” in this article from the UK Guardian, now adviser to the Secretary General of the UN is worried:

Building a global consensus on sustainability is becoming increasingly difficult as a result of economic crises and a US political climate that is increasingly hostile to action on climate change, according to Gro Harlem Brundtland, one of the chief architects of the first Rio Earth summit in 1992.

Now if Rio+20 was wonderful, the former PM would sign a different tune.  Instead she blames in part, well, liberty/sovereignty/Tea Party acrtivists:

In the US, she saw a worrying decline in political support for environmental issues. “The election scene is an obvious factor in the decision by Obama not to be here. The climate issue on the American scene has been really difficult for years and in many ways it is worse now than three or four years ago. The Republican right – the Tea party, etc – are building around climate denial. In that sense, the American scene is deteriorating on these issues.”

HURRAH!  (Or should I say AMEN!)  You have done it!  You have exposed the tyranny of “sustainability” and Agenda 21 and left-wing authoritarians like Mayor Bloomberg who want to ban salt and large sugary drinks – all for our own good!  That is Agenda 21 thinking.  If you dare to stand up to their ideology, they want to squash you like a bug – ask Dan Cathy!

Have that large Bloomberg-sized sweetened tea!  And it’s back to the fight.  Too many cities are still in ICLEI.  But as Emile Zola is quoted as saying, “Truth is on the march and nothing will stop it!”  Thanks to this site and James Stack for this hint!
